Under Fire
1983
When a composition was selected for Drew to paint the finished piece of art for this poster, Drew was asked how quickly he could have it done. They needed the art for the soundtrack album right away. Rather than rush trough what he knew would be a great piece of art they all agreed that Drew would paint a small version of the art for the album cover first and then do the poster later, taking his time. While there are some variations between the two, the most noticeable is the change of scale of Gene Hackman's portrait. Not till after the painting for the poster was complete did someone notice that Gene had an equal likeness clause in his contract. Drew painted an additional portrait of Gene in the diamond shape map and glued it over the existing head on the original art.
