Return of the Jedi
November 1982

When Drew was working on this piece the film was still called 'Revenge' of the Jedi.  It wasn't until this poster was on the printing press that the decision was made to change the name of the film to 'Return' instead of 'Revenge'.  The testing seemed to show that women responded better to the word return than revenge and we don't want to lose the female market do we?  The result was that the posters that were already printed were supposed to be destroyed.  A few made an escape to become the most desirable, rare and valuable of the modern day movie posters.
This reproduction here is taken from the reprint for the anniversary celebration, not one of the rare originals.
