Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
May 1984
Here is where Drew tied up the reputation of being "The" Indiana
Jones
artist. Richard Amsel had done the Raiders domestic poster and
Drew
had done the International poster. When it came time for 'Temple
of Doom' they tried another artist. When it came close to the
date
to release the film it was decided to go ahead and give Drew a shot at
the poster too in order to see if he could do something they would like
better. Drew did three quick drawings and then one color
sketch.
they loved it and gave him the go ahead. It proved so wonderful
that
they never looked back. Ever since then, just as Harrison Ford
'is'
Indiana Jones, it is only authentic if Drew paints him.
