Heat and Dust
September 1983
The opportunity to do a romantic piece that features a woman seems
rare
in the movie industry. That's why Drew appreciated the
opportunity
to do this art. It was commissioned by Universal Classics, a
division
which acted independently of the regular Universal projects. This
gave them more freedom which they passed on to Drew. The freedom
he had is evident in the loving care he has given to this piece.
That spirit came through as it remains a favorite for the
women.
As we can see, he is very well able to pass from science fiction to
adventure,
comedy and children's films to romance, handling each with the same
bravado
and sensitivity.
