This is one of those pieces which was the first of it's kind.  While the idea of a gallery of portraits executed in this fashion has been used extensively because of it's success there is always a first and this is it.  Drew has been asked to repeat it and improve upon the concept many a time on everything from the 'Muppets' to 'Cannonball Run'.  Drew has been the inventor and creator of numerous concepts that have been successful, imitated, copied and eventually become a commonly accepted concept design in illustration.
