One of the great old time classic comic strips. A great fleshed out rendering of the characters and well as the whole spirit of the stories. 
You would think that this would be a no brainer to get made into a film.  This beautiful painting by Drew would sure have synched it
when it ran in the industry periodicals while searching for investors. Well, there's no such thing in Hollywood. 
With all this going for it, it never did became a film.  It does make this exquisite painting the quintessential Terry and the Pirates collectable however.
